Our Story: A Dutch-Portuguese Bridge
We are a Portuguese couple with with over 30 years of combined experience in the Portuguese real estate market. Our journey uniquely positions us to help foreigners navigate the complexities of buying, investing, or relocating in Portugal.
OUR TIMELINE:
2005: Our passion for real estate began when we purchased our first property—a house under construction in Portugal. The experience taught us that without proper guidance, the process can be overwhelming. We completed that renovation and created our dream home.
2009: Seeing an opportunity, we acquired a rental apartment and learned the intricacies of property management and long-term rental operations.
2013: We moved to the Netherlands but kept our Portuguese portfolio active—a challenging but valuable experience that taught us to build a trustworthy remote network across Portugal. This is precisely what we use today to serve our clients.
2014: We entered the holiday rental market, learning firsthand how to prepare properties that guests love—properties that feel like dream homes away from home.
2015-2018: We expanded our rental portfolio with a few more properties, and purchased our own beachfront property, which we fully renovated. Each project deepened our expertise in project management, contractors, and legal compliance.
2019: After selling our very first property, we formalized our experience into a business: CORAGEM AVULSO. As we managed this growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, we reflected on why our journey worked: we always asked ourselves, “Would we do this for ourselves?” and “Could this become our dream home?”
TODAY: We apply that same philosophy to every client. We don’t just sell properties—we help you find and acquire a home that truly works for your life, whether it’s a holiday retreat, permanent residence, or investment asset.
